Combine rice and art and you’ll get a rice field art..
It has become more like a tradition now to have a new piece of “art” every year in Inakadate village. A local art teacher does up the computerized sketch, which is then transferred to a grid and mapped to thousands of dots.. The art itself is created by hands of more than 1,000 locals and volunteers, each rice shoot being hand-planted.
