Sony’s PlayStation Phone is kinda ugly

Was excited by the rumours of a Sony PlayStation phone, but looking at the phone above turns me off.

The system’s appearance looks quite similar to the PSP Go except that it’s lacking the analog nub and Memory Stick slot. It’s replaced with a multi-touch pad in the center and some minor button-placement changes. The PSP’s shoulder buttons are still in place.

The phone is rumoured to run on Android 3.0 platform and will come with a custom Sony Marketplace which will allow you to purchase and download games designed for the new platform.

The device is reported to be running on 1GHz Qualcomm CPU, 512MB of RAM, 1GB of ROM, and a screen in the range of 3.7 to 4.1 inches.

It’s just a prototype, let’s hope Sony puts in more effort to re-design the final product.
